Selling Guide (Producer)

This guide explains how producers can list offers, manage orders, and get paid.

1) Complete producer setup

  • Create/complete your producer profile.
  • Add accurate business/identity information.
  • Wait for validation if your account is pending review.

2) Create offers

For each offer, provide:

  • clear title and description
  • category and unit
  • available quantity
  • price
  • delivery availability
  • offer location

Keep listing information current to avoid disputes and cancellation risk.

3) Manage incoming orders

You can receive marketplace orders linked to your offers.
Process them quickly and update status according to platform flow:

  • validate/confirm
  • prepare
  • move to in-transit or pickup-ready behavior as supported

Do not mark status actions inaccurately.

4) Negotiation and chat

  • You may negotiate where offers are marked negotiable.
  • Keep all negotiation in-platform.
  • Contact-sharing in chat (phone/email/links) may be blocked by policy controls.

5) Wallet and withdrawals

  • Track your wallet balance.
  • Submit withdrawal requests with your producer payment method.
  • OTP verification may be required.
  • Withdrawal requests are subject to admin review (approve/reject).

6) Best practices for producers

  • Keep inventory realistic.

  • Respond to order actions quickly.

  • Keep proof of delivery/fulfillment.

  • Use support channels early if issues arise.

    7) Fees calculation

  • All percentages are taken from the line-item subtotal (sum of item prices × quantities), before coupons.

Formulas:

Buyer pays: subtotal + 6% − coupon discount

Producer nets: subtotal − 9%

Platform keeps: the buyer’s 6% plus the producer’s 9%

Example for a 10,000 XAF cart:

Buyer pays: 10,600 (10,000 + 600)

Producer receives: 9100

Platform: 1,500 (600 + 900)

Coupons reduce the buyer’s total only. The service fee is still computed on the pre-discount subtotal; the discount is then subtracted from the subtotal + service fee.

Negotiated chat orders use the same marketplace rates on the agreed price.
